Marie Anne was turned into a demon by Muzan because of her illness . From birth, she suffers from a heart condition. Her mother begged to turn her daughter to a demon , because she doesnt want to lose her youngest daughter.
Marie Anne is born into a wealthy Japanese-british family. She has two older sisters, and one older brother. Her father owns a toy company , her eldest brother is the next on line to inherit all the business. While her eldest sister turns into a demon slayer because she wanted to avenge her mother's death . While the middle sister is too obedient to their father and is married and is send back to England.
Marie Anne never once interacted with her siblings because she is locked isnide her bedroom for her entire life. Her father forbid her other siblings to interact with her out of fear that Marie Anne would devour them.
Unlike Nezuko , Marie Anne needed flesh to survive or else she will die of starvation. Soon after her being turned into a demon , Marie Anne is being hunted by demon slayers. Because of this her family moves for several times until her mother sacrificed herself , and is killed by the demon slayers.
After the death of her mother, Marie Anne's father grows paranoid and is even more overprotective of Marie Anne. At noon she is locked inside of the room and can only be out at night during specific hours and only is allowed to be around the garden of her home.
Marie Anne is lonely and depressed because of her father's actions. She has no friends and has no idea how to interact with other people normally because of this.
Marie anne is terrified of demon slayers. It doesn't help that she is also afraid of other demons as well. Probably because of a trauma from her early childhood .
Ever since she is turned into a demon , she has been sensitive about her hearing and sense of smell. So much, to the point that she is actually bothered by it.
Usually she eats human flesh as it is supplied by her father. She has no idea on how to hunt for food.
Sometimes Marie Anne would sneak out because she is curious about the world behind her 'bars'. When she is out, she wears a cloak to cover herself.
Marie Anne is a haafu , and since her father is british, she wears western dresses and studies english . She can speak english since it is her mother tongue.
PERSONALITY
Marie Anne was a very bright and full of life girl before she was turned into a demon.
Even when she is dying , she would always play with her sisters and brother, along side with her mother.
But when she is turned into a demon for awhile she still has that cheerful personality, but changed after the death of her mother.
She became quiet , and since she doesn't really know how to interact with people, she is very child like. She is innocent, and very soft spoken.
She knew that she is wrong to devour humans, but she endured it all in order to survive. She only goes violent whenever she sees demon slayers.
Her father would describe her like a wild animal who only knows how to behave in front of him because she is terrified of him.
Marie Anne enjoys reading romance novels (just like any normal girls in her age ) , and often day dreams to have that kind of wonderful story in her life. Because of her abilities, sometimes her father used her to track down demon slayers in order to avoid them.
